Hound dog
Nana's are Beautiful
Can you guys show up at my door and just beat me soundly around the head and shoulders??? Huh? Please???
I clearly need some sense knocked into me. :hammer:
Nichole has been non stop once again on needing a puppy. (as per post in parent emeritus) OMG! The girl was quite literally driving me insane. All day and all evening long I heard nothing else for about the past 2 wks. She'd even call me from boyfriend's house. And I have to answer those calls just in case. :slap:
Well, my kidneys are giving me some major problems. Thus sleeping is just really not happening much. Up until this morning I've been a steadfast and stuborn NO WAY. Good grief, I don't think it was more than 3 months ago we had to find a home for her last pup Zoey.
She comes up to wake me up. I have vague recollections about her starting in about the puppy. After 3 or 4 tries to wake me up to "talk about it", in which I barely came to enough to realize she was not a dream/nitemare.... She said something about bringing something home for an hour just to test it out, and I mumbled something back about whatever just to shut her up so I could SLEEP.
Believe me. Her asking about the pup has been like a scratched record set on overdrive. :surprise:
I come downstairs later to discover the most adorable freaking puppy snoozing in the baby's Wiggle's chair. Happens to look exactly like Betsy did as a lil pup only with longer legs.
My first impulse was to wrap my hands around Nichole's throat and SQUEEZE. grrrrrr. But I didn't even manage a blow up as the 3 mo old pup was scared and nervous as it was.
Nichole pipes up to explain. Seems the pup she's been begging for from the paper coincidentally belonged to an old friend of mine. (Nichole and her daughter were bff's as little girls) She'd been frantically trying to find homes for the litter of 9 pups for the past 3 mos. She was down to 3 and the Mom. Mom went yesterday.
Then my mad just sort of vanished.
This friend of mine does not have it easy by any means. She's surviving and trying to raise 3 kids on disability. Poorer than dirt describes the situation. Travis gave her boys his old video game system and I give them old games for it. I pick up her kids clothes at yard sales, ect. This friend is no moocher. Never asks for a thing.
So, I just couldn't make myself force Nichole to take the pup back to her house. I know she can't afford to feed pups. (and pup is skinny although not malnurished)
In Nichole's defense, although she knows "where" my friend lives, she has no clue as to the address or phone number. So when she read it in the paper it didn't ring a bell. But when she got there.....Well, she was surprised.
argh
In my own defense, pup probably will be moving on to another loving home in about 2 wks if Nichole stays true to form. In the meantime I'll give it puppy shots and worm it and house train it.
Nichole is determined to keep this one. To the tune of cleaning the entire house. (can anyone say Maid) Paying me 200.00 even if she has to give it up in the end. (don't ask, I dunno, was just part of her deal) Plus being it's sole caregiver.
Personally, I think she has a tendency at self sabotage as the new school quarter has just started. And the pup will definately go before I let that happen.
Lucky for the lil pup that she's so sweet and adorable. As for breed, she's an offical Heinz 57.
I told Nichole that when she does move out on her own she ought to volunteer at the humane society to be a foster parent.
Ugh.
