new medication --Symbyax

    It's not particularly new. It was approved back in 2004, so it's not new that way. And all it is is a combination of Zyprexa and Prozac so it's not really a new medication. The hit on it is that if you are going to take Zyprexa and Prozac, why not take them individually so that you can adjust the dosages. Naturally, it isn't approved for kids though it is approved for the treatment of bipolar. Oddly, when Prozac was first being clinically tested for approval, many of the subjects were prescribed benzos to control the aggitation caused by the Prozac. I've always wondered if this combo pill is an outcome of that experience.
