Waiting for the other shoe...Send good thoughts

Please! It's fall. Every fall since he was 14, difficult child has entered a manic phase. I know it's coming. I can feel it. I have seen the signs.(porn sites visited, a possible theft from neighbors, staying gone all weekend!) I can hear it. There are constant text messages and phone calls about nothing. The last manic episode was not pretty and lasted until he was arrested in March. Please keep us in your prayers.

Did you tell him you see signs of it? Would he stop to think at all about that?

Sending prayers out your way!!

Thanks all for the good thoughts. I will speak to him about my thoughts later. He knows he has mental health issues---he uses when he needs to.

Janet---he has no insurance for medications right now. He has been pretty much non-compliant since turning 19 about taking any.

Sending many good thoughts and prayers that he doesn't repeat the cycle. I do understand what you mean though. My son's bad period used to be between Christmas holidays and Easter. I swear I used to hold my breath for 4 months.

Would he talk to you about it? Perhaps talk to a therapist? Knowing that this is his rough time and acknowledging it would be a huge step.

Thinking of you and sending hugs,
Deb

I can sympathize with you. October was always a bad month for my difficult child. It got to the point where I hated to see October coming because I never knew what it would bring, and every October it usually wasn't pretty.

The only good thing is that you can kind of try and prepare yourself, if that is possible.

Don't know if that helps you at all. Probably not. But I'm thinking of you anyways.

Bless your hearts!! I send my good thoughts and prayers also!! Somehow my problems do not seem so bad after all. :kisses:

difficult child update: It's been two weeks since I've talked to him. He does call his Dad though. And he is still holding his job that's located down the street from me. It's all I can do to not pull in there and try to talk to him but I know he's trying to punish me so he's going to have to come to me.

Tons of Hugs!!!!

Watching your back and sending lots of cyber vibes to you. I understand and hate that feeling of impending doom.

If he could get to community care, they could probably help him with patient assistance programs for medications. That's only if he'd go and if he would be medication compliant. That's alot to ask of someone.....I know.

In the meantime, I've got myself pretzel twisted already for another board member, I'll just keep myself this way for a while and add your difficult child to the thought process.

Thanks ladies. Still just suspicious, but...you know with these difficult children you never know and a little prayer never hurt anyone.
