difficult child Is Going To A Movie

One of difficult child's friends called him yesterday and asked him if he wanted to go and see a movie Saturday. He told the friend that he would think about it and let him know. I told him that I think that he should go. When I was his age I loved going to the movies with my friends. Going somewhere at that age without parents can be fun, but I can also see that it brings out his anxiety. I didn't push him, but he told me that he wants to go!! This may seem small, but this is really a big deal for him. These are the things that I want for him. These are the things that he should be doing. This makes me so happy!
