G'day people.
I spent most of the day at the hospital again. There was cancellation at my GPs, she sent me to the hospital to be admitted and given i.v. antibiotics. She said I needed to be admitted; if they discharged me, she wants to see me on Wednesday so she can keep an eye on me. The hospital ER was packed, I waited for four hours. The doctor who saw me put me on a drip and gave me more antibiotics, said he would admit me but when it came down to it, there were no beds. Then he had my file seen by a respiratory specialist who said that with my results, there was no need for antibiotics and I could go home. I'm still running a high fever and still not sure what is going on. But tomorrow I will be calling another of my doctors, who may send me back to the hospital.
I just wish they'd make up their minds! I would have preferred to not go out today, I could have stayed home in bed and not sat in the ER for hours.
I'm scheduled to see my GP again on Wednesday. I cancelled all tomorrow's appointments. I missed seeing easy child 2/difficult child 2 today as well. She and SIL2 came over to visit, but I was out at the hospital. Very frustrating!
Anyway, I'm back resting, feeling useless. My brain feels like cotton wool and I need to have it functioning, I'm expecting phone calls from difficult child 3's teachers over the next dew days.
Oh, well... enjoy your Monday. It's got to be better than mine was.
