Hubby's company will be starting "involuntary dismissals" if they don't get enough volunteers. He's only been permanent a little over a year, so he doesn't have a lot of seniority. Our county has an unemployment rate of about 20%, and as you know, California is in a serious mess. We definitely need the power of board magic right now. He won't know if he's on the list till the end of November, so we get to sweat it out till then.
