Yes, we checked, all pads were wrapped up in TP, thrown away, but where totally clean, some she hadn't even taken the paper off the sticky part, just wrapped up the clean ones and threw them away.
We talked about the importance of telling the truth about anything, all the time. She knows she can talk to us about anything, will NOT get into trouble as long as it is the truth, or as much trouble if it's a really bad thing.
We brought out her American Girl's book about a girl's body and the happenings of it and ready many parts together.
We made a calendar for her to keep track of WHEN she DOES start so she will be prepared.
I told her I will be checking her stories from now on, gotta make sure she is kept safe, etc.
I think she now understands she can call or come see me anytime she feels the want or need and that I am 100% there for her, even if we do live at different addresses.
